Guide for Authors

Biological and Molecular Chemistry (Biol. Mol. Chem.) is an international journal for the dissemination of scientific results in the rapidly expanding realm of pharmaceutical and biological chemistry. The journal publishes high quality reviews, full papers and communications in the following areas: synthesis (including catalysis, organometallic, medicinal, biological, and photochemistry), chemical synthetic methodologies, organic and inorganic chemistry, industrial chemistry, materials and polymer chemistry, biological chemistry and interdisciplinary studies directly related to chemical synthesis.

Submission of a manuscript implies that the author(s) agreed to transfer copyright to the Biol. Mol. Chem. Iran when the contribution is accepted for publication. Reproduction of the text, figures, or tables of this journal is allowed only by permission of the Editorial Committee.

Preparing Your Paper

Your paper should be compiled in the following order: title page; abstract; keywords; main text introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion; acknowledgments; declaration of interest statement; references; appendices (as appropriate); table(s) with caption(s) (on individual pages); figures; figure captions (as a list).

The order of the article should be as follows:

Title page

Result and discussion

Experimental (0r Material and methods)

Title page:

The title should be concise and accurately reflect the content.

Full names and addresses of authors should be given after the title on the first page. Indicate the corresponding author of an asterisk and provide his or her e-mail address on this page.

Main file:

-The abstract should be a clear, concise, one-paragraph synopsis (less than 300 words)

-The keyword should be a maximum of 3-6 keywords.

The font should be Times New Roman (in 12 point font).

-The Acknowledgments should be placed in a separate paragraph after the text of the review.

References should be included using the format described in below:

Graphical abstract

The graphical abstract is mandatory for this journal. It should summarize the contents of the article in a concise, pictorial form designed to capture the attention of a wide readership online. Authors must provide images that clearly represent the work described in the article. Graphical abstracts should be submitted as a separate file in the online submission system.

Highlights are a short collection of bullet points that convey the core findings and provide readers with a quick textual overview of the article. These three to five bullet points describe the essence of the research (e.g. results or conclusions) and highlight what is distinctive about it.

Proof correction

Corresponding authors will receive an e-mail contains the copyright form and the galley proof file. All instructions for proofing will be given in the e-mail we send to the authors.
