Synthesis of Sulfonamide Derivatives with an Easy and Environmentally Friendly Method by CuFe2O4@SiO2 Nanocatalyst

Abstract

Sulfonamides have played a decisive role in the history of drug production and are still popular today. Since the acid-base-NH sulfonamide property of this compound plays a role in its biological properties, the calculation of its acid-base property is of particular importance in predicting and justifying the medicinal properties of this compound and its derivatives. Magnetic nanoparticles are among the most commonly used and most widely studied nanoparticles in the last several decades and are widely used in the field of catalysts as well. This study investigated the synthesis of magnetic nanocatalyst CuFe2O4@SiO2, as well as its use in acidic chemical reactions with the ability to be recycled and separated easily. It was found that CuFe2O4@SiO2 nanoparticles have good structural stability based on FT-IR, and VSM techniques for the preparation of sulfate nanocatalysts.
